Naturally, I'm waaaay too deep and complicated a person to ever be described succinctly in a medium such as this. And if you believe that, then I've got some beachfront property you might like to buy... after all, valuable property is just a matter of perception too - it's why so many people think any house they own should have the highest price per square metre in their street, yet they should be able to buy it for the lowest price per square metre in the first place. Although naturally you or I would never fall foul of such self indulgent thoughts.
Human nature, aren't we all?
It's probably also worth noting that I frequently have very little background experience in subjects I write about. I do attempt to check facts and gain an overview of any topic I'm not already familiar with, however intrinsic knowledge of specialist detail is obviously difficult to obtain via this sort of quick'n'dirty approach. While many would object to this approach, I side with the Western philosophical attitude that open-minded, reasoned debate is amongst the best ways to gain insight - hence I'm also extremely partial to people who disagree with me in a thoughtful manner.
Anyone is welcome to comment on anything I write, outside opinions are always interesting.
I have no "policy" regarding friending. I treat this journal as an open diary/rant... and I treat other people's journals the same as my own. If I've 'friended' you and you have a problem with being on my friends list, just let me know and I'll remove you. Beyond that I'll treat my friends list however I care to.
Which in practice generally means I stick to the cheerfully self-absorbed polemic that is LJ and it's kinda rare that I actually remember to to have a vague shot at working out who I'm sharing all this enthusiastic babble with anyway ;)
"Failing conventionally is the route to go. As a group lemmings may have a rotten image, but no individual lemming has ever received bad press." - Warren Buffett
"Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on, or by imbeciles who really mean it." - Mark Twain
"One must either be good, or imitate a good man" - Democritus
